I love this bright and cheerful layout that Sarah put together! She did a great job of incorporating multiple items from the kit.  And the photos of the little one are so cute . . . almost makes me want to have another baby . . . almost. Have a cheerful day!

Happy Birthday to our dear Kelly! Recovering from foot surgery is no fun on your birthday, but hopefully she will be running around again soon. Thanks for supplying us all with our goods and keeping us inspired! Help me wish her a great day!

I love “Why I scrap” by Autumn. The journaling was just awesome and made me realize how important it is to scrap those memories. Very inspiring!

Felicia Young is! Congrats! We will include your goodies with your April kit! Thanks to everyone who participated. Until next time . . .

why do you scrap?

Why do you scrapbook? Did you start because you were bored one Friday night? Did a friend drag you to a crop? Did someone show you what you could do with glue and some pretty paper?

Our PBD girl, Autumn, recently created the above layout to document exactly why she scrapbooks.  (She has much more meaningful answers than what I listed above.)  She participated in a challenge with some friends to create a layout about why they scrapbook. You can check out her journaling on her personal blog here: http://simplyautumn.com/blog/?p=1542.  I was so inspired when I read her journaling . . . she will inspire you to run grab your glue and pretty paper too!

Autumn used the March kit for her layout along with a few other pieces from past kits–it’s the kit club that just keeps on giving! Have a great day!

I’ll admit, when I first started scrapbooking, it was all about the events, holidays and birthdays for me. I thought that was what scrapbooking was “supposed” to be. But what was I supposed to do with all those everyday random pictures that were quickly filling up space on my computer . . . never to be seen again if I didn’t do something with them quick!

When I started scrapbooking those everyday moments, scrapbooking took on a whole new meaning for me. I felt more freedom with my journaling and the entire creative process became much more meaningful to me. Nowdays, with three crazy kids to make me laugh, my scrapbooks are filled with mostly random moments. I still do the events, holidays and birthdays (of course!), but some of my favorite layouts are the random ones–and my kids prefer them too! Speaking of random . . . do your kids strike a pose when they put underwear on their heads?

Here is a quick and easy layout for you. Autumn has the amazing ability to put together elaborate and detailed layouts, yet she can cross over to the simpler side once in a while. Check out how she put some pictures down, a journaling card and used a few simple chip pieces from the March kit–so simple, yet so beautiful! Great job girlfriend!

got scraps?

What do you do with all those scraps you accumulate while scrapbooking? Do you toss them, give them to your kids, file them away? Check out what these PBD girls do with their scraps!

They make cards! I love having a card on hand when I have five seconds to head out the door for a birthday party or I need to send a thank you note to someone ASAP. Check out the gallery for close ups of the cards and more eye candy.  Have a great day!

It’s my favorite day of the week! Friday! The weekend is finally here. Time to relax, spend time with family and friends and play catch up. How do you spend your Friday night? Do you hang out with friends? Go to the movies? Veg on your sofa? Or do you go to an awesome concert?! Check out what Raimi’s husband recently planned for her. The ultimate date night!

A few things I noticed right away. Love the monochromatic layout. Perfect choice for a concert setting–makes the concert and lightshow pop. She sanded the edges of her letters that were the same color as her cardstock–love that. Makes them stand out. I also love how she included the set list from the concert right on her photo–don’t you love those white pens? And of course she included her ticket stub! Proof she was there! Great job Raimi!

Have a fabulous weekend doing your favorite weekend thing!

gardening anyone?

It’s that time of year again! This is the time of year I look forward to . . . the time to plant a little of this and that . . . and look forward to some awesome veggies all summer long! Take a look at this super cute layout that Kristen put together about her garden. She used the “Plant This” journaling card included in the March kit–perfect for the gardening enthusiast. And check out the way she layered the cardstock sticker with paper and a button, so clever!

Have you ever picked up a cute patterned paper or embellishment and then “staged” some pictures just so you could create a layout with them? (No, not me!!) Never picked up a shovel and some seeds? Maybe you’ll want to start gardening just so you can create this cute gardening layout with your “Plant This” embellishment! For you out-of-the-box creative people out there, if you create a non-gardening layout with the “Plant This” card (or part of it), post a link to it here in the comments, I’d love to see what you come up with!
